ETHICS AND WORKING WITH CHILDREN
Saturday, October 9th * 8:45 - 4:30This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to revisit personal values as they pertain to the counseling relationship. The professional codes from both counseling and social work will be utilized in an ethical decision-making model. Particular attention will be paid to the ethical issues that occur when working with children and their parents.

HONORING CULTURAL DIVERSITY

This workshop will explore how culture impacts the counseling relationship especially in the case of children and their families. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge base regarding some commonalities within cultures and other aspects of being culturally responsive. An interactive format will be utilized to highlight materials presented.
